PIA COLLEGE OF FELLOWS, 1971

The PIA first elevated its members to Fellowship in 1939, with the like of Juan Nakpil, Andres Luna, Fernando Ocampo and Harold Keys, in respect to their valuable services and commitment to the Institute and its history. For almost 80 years, the PIA elevated almost 100 members to Fellows from all over the country. In 1971, under the presidency of Manuel Manosa jr, the Institute formally organized the first College of Fellows, as a collegial body of elders to served as the guide of the Institute for wisdom. The College of Fellows is headed by the Chancellor, and Juan Nakpil was elected to be the first Chancellor, College of Fellows in 1971.

National Artist Architectural Marker

The Philippine Institute of Architects (PIA), United Architects of the Philippines (UAP), Architectural Archives Philippines, and the Cultural Center of the Philippine installed the first NATIONAL ARTIST ARCHITECTURAL MARKER to the CCP Bldg . in 2008. The historic undertaking inaugurated by CCP President Nestor Jardin, PIA President Lito Antonio, UAP President Edric Marco Florentino, Archives Chairman Benedict Hermoso, NCCA architecture Chairman Tina Turalba, and NCCA Executive Council Member and PIA Cultural Affairs Chairman Joel Rico with Andy Locsin (son of the late Leandro Locsin) unveiling the marker. the projects' objective is to continually immortalize the legacy of the National Artist in Architecture by installing an architectural markers on the works of Juan Nakpil, Pablo Antonio, Leandro Locsin, Ildefonso IP Santos, Francisco "Bobby" Manosa.

Proposed Philippine Architectural Gallery and Built Heritage Resource Center

The proposed interior layout of the Philippine Architectural Gallery and Built Heritage Resource Center at the National Museum of the Philippines in 2013. The design was a collaborative effort between the PIA and National Museum Design Team.

Gaudi in the Philippines

The first-ever Philippine International Exhibit of Spanish Architect and artist, Antonio Gaudi was inaugurated in the new Ayala Museum in Makati City. The historic event in 2006 was attended by Spanish Ambassador to the Philippines, Hon. Rafael Sagaz. The Gaudi Exhibit was a partnership between the PIA and the Instituto Cervantes de Manila,in cooperation of the Architectural Archives Philippines.
